During our wellness group discussion of WATER, the subject of PFAS (plastics or "forever chemicals") was discussed. Most water filters do not remove PFAS and as with everything, there is a debate on how much is a "safe" amount.

According to Huntsville Utilities, the EPA has established a lifetime health advisory level at a combined 70 parts per trillion or 0.070 parts per billion; Huntsville Utilities reports their water is at 0.023 ppb currently. However, an article from last month indicates the EPA is looking at new guidance of 4.0 ppt or 0.004 ppb, which is around 1/6 of what we currently have.

The WHO is also drafting stronger guidance, but many think that guidance is too weak:
